OLIVER SPRUELL "OJ"

The Mayor's office has authorized that a $10,000.00 reward be offered for information leading to the identification, apprehension, and conviction of the person (s) responsible for the murder of Oliver Spruell. Spruell, known to his friends and the community as "OJ", was shot and killed on Thursday, March 8, 2001 at 5:15PM, in the basketball courts behind 1631 Sunnydale Ave. in the Ingelside District. At the time that the incident happened, there were many young children playing in the nearby playground.

It is believed that witnesses saw what occurred on the evening of the homicide and we are urging any witnesses to come forward.
The person (s) who committed this outrageous act must be caught and brought to justice. The viciousness and wanton disregard for the safety of others evidenced by this crime cannot be tolerated.
