ARMED AND DANGEROUS
On January 23, 2004 a warrant was issued for the arrest of Michael David Punzal, in the amount of One Million Dollars for a two count violation of section 664/187 (attempted homicide) of the Penal Code, et al. On January 19th a shooting occurred in the area of Sunnydale and Hahn Streets. Punzal drove up to the victim, who was seated in a car, and began firing at the victim. A car chase ensued with Punzal firing at the victim as he attempted to elude Punzal. The victim was successful in getting away. However, this did not deter Punzal. On January 21st the victim was driving a vehicle just a few blocks away from Sunnydale and Hahn, when the victime happened upon Punzal. Punzal, once again, began firing at the victim who was struck in the hand. Indications are that the weapon used by Punzal is a .38 caliber revolver.
Punzal has extensive arrest history, which includes acts of violence, weapons and narcotics violations. Punzal is currently on felony probation for a firearm violation and a cocaine base violation. Punzal has a warrantless search condition. Information has been received that Punzal is on a crime spree, robbing drug dealers. Punzal's attorney is aware of the arrest warrant. Punzal is considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS. Therefore, officers attempting to make contact with him should exercise caution.
