Subject: Police Seek Witnesses in December 7 Homicide
San Francisco police are seeking witnesses to a homicide that occurred after a physical altercation inside Hollywood Billiards, 61 Golden Gate Avenue the night of December 7.
When three men involved in the altercation left the building, a suspect fired at them, wounding all three, ages 17, 19 and 20. After the shooting, someone in an Acura Integra drove eastbound on Golden Gate Ave, just passing Hollywood Billiards. Harry Truong, one of the three men who had been inside the billiards hall, walked up to the passing car and struck the vehicle’s front windshield with a pool cue, cracking the glass. Someone inside the car fired, killing Mr. Truong. The vehicle fled eastbound on Golden Gate toward Market Street.
Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen the incident or a vehicle matching the description of the suspect car, a 1996-98 Acura Integra, two-door, dark, with the front end closer to the ground, with damage to the front windshield. The vehicle may have a stock spoiler, a scoop-like attachment, on top of the trunk. Rear and side windows are tinted. Auto repair shop and glass replacement service personnel especially are being urged to call police if they have made a windshield repair on a vehicle matching the above description.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Inspectors Dennis Maffei or Kerwin Silas of the SFPD Homicide Section, 553-1145 or 553-9251.
