Subject:    San Francisco Police Seek Information In Homicide of 17-Year-Old Girl


 

San Francisco Homicide inspectors are seeking the public’s help in obtaining information regarding the homicide of a San Francisco17-year-old-girl whose body was found about 11:20 P.M. Monday, September 27, wrapped in a blanket at Visitacion Avenue and Mansell Street.  She had been strangled.  There was no evidence of sexual assault.

Police were not able to identify the victim, Maxine Nicole Danner, until her grandfather, who is her legal guardian, reported her missing on Tuesday, September 28.  Danner was a senior at Lincoln High School.  She had not attended school on Monday. 

Police are urging any one who recently saw Maxine Danner to call the Confidential Tip Line at 415-575-4444.

Maxine Danner was 5’ 4”, 160 lbs., with brown hair and green eyes.  A picture of the victim is available from the Public Affairs Office and on the SFPD’S Web site, sfgov.org/police.
