Subject: Applications For San Francisco Police Officer
The San Francisco Police Department is looking for mature men and women who want to be Police Officers. Women, minority, and bilingual applicants are especially encouraged to apply.
The current salary range is $57,916 to $80,649. Applicants are paid while they attend the San Francisco Police Academy and, when training is completed, may test for bilingual pay.
Applications will be available from Tuesday, November 16, 2004 to Monday, November 22, 2004 at all police stations in San Francisco, at the San Francisco International Airport Police Substation, at 44 Gough Street, 17 Walter U. Lum Place, and in Room 577-17, Hall of Justice, 850 Bryant Street. Additional sites to obtain applications are available. Please visit our website at www.sfgov.org/police for more information. To qualify to take the Police Officer Examination, you must:
Be at least 20 years old.
- Be a U.S. citizen or a legal resident alien.
- Have a valid driver license.
To be hired, you must:
- Be at least 21.
- Have a U.S. high school diploma, an equivalent, or an AA degree or higher.
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Pass the Police Officer Examination and Background Investigation Process.
- Not have been convicted of domestic violence.
- Not have been convicted of a felony.
