Subject:     San Francisco Police Join With Mothers of Military Service Members In Donation Drive

Mothers of Military Service Members (MOMS) will be picking up donations for overseas military personnel gathered by the San Francisco Police Officers Association Monday, December 20, at the former POa headquarters, 510 7th Street, beginning at 12:00 noon.

The San Francisco POA has been working continuously with MOMS in acquiring necessary small items, including sunscreen, toothpaste, and certain food items, for the troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Periodically, representatives from MOMS pick up the items, which MOMS ships overseas.  So far, the POA has supplied over 10,000 lbs. of items donated by officers and the public.  Officers will be assisting MOMS in loading the items.
