Subject: Witnesses Sought In March 7 Assault At Coit Tower
San Francisco Police are asking for the public’s help in their investigation of an assault that occurred at Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill in the early morning hours on Monday, March 7. At about 3:00 A.M. on that date, a group of as many as 12 suspects attacked passengers who had gotten out of their rented limousine in the parking lot viewing area. Of the two male passengers, one was stabbed and the other punched. The driver of the limousine was knocked unconscious by one of the suspects. The four female passengers were uninjured. The suspects have been identified as Latin male adults.
Police investigators are urging that anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact Inspector James Custer at 553-9516. Persons with information who wish to remain anonymous may call the Confidential Tip Line, 415-575-4444.
