Subject: Arrest In Carjacking Series
San Francisco police officers from Northern Station arrested a man on April 22 in connection with a series of violent carjackings. Taken into custody was David Perryman, 42, of San Francisco. Perryman is the suspect in three carjackings that occurred on April 2, 12 and 19 of this year. In each incident, he targeted a lone female driver and, without warning or provocation, used a concrete utility box cover to shatter the passenger side window of the vehicle. He then dove through the window, attacked and robbed the victim and fled in her vehicle.
Perryman’s arrest was the culmination of an intensive investigation conducted by the Robbery Detail and officers from Northern, Mission and Southern police stations. Perryman remains in custody on multiple charges of carjacking, robbery and aggravated assault.
The Robbery Detail acknowledges the outstanding work by Northern District personnel in the quick identification and capture of this dangerous subject.
