Subject:     Police Seeking Rape And Kidnapping Suspect


San Francisco Police are seeking the assistance of the public in apprehending a suspect in the rape, kidnapping and brutal beating of a woman that occurred on August 26, 2004 at Broadway and Larkin streets. Police have identified the suspect, Edwin Palacios, 28, of San Francisco.  The District Attorney’s Office issued a $500,000 warrant for Palacios’ arrest for that incident.

 

Palacios has also been linked to another vicious assault that occurred in 1996.

 

Any one who sees Palacios, who is considered armed and dangerous, should call 9-1-1.  Any one with information as to the whereabouts of Palacios is urged to contact the Confidential Tip Line at 415-575-4444.  A photograph of Palacios, who is one of the SFPD’s Ten Most Wanted, is available on the SFPD’s Web site, sfgov.org/police under “Wanted Persons.”
