Subject:     Richmond Police Station Hosts Traffic Safety Month Kick Off September 8


Police Chief Heather Fong will join officers from Richmond Station and Merry Banks, AAA Special Projects Manager, in a Traffic Safety Month kick off event on Thursday, September 8 at the Richmond Recreation Center, 251-18th Avenue at California Street, from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.  The event, which is sponsored by the San Francisco Police Officers Association, will include a free barbecue, educational materials, pedestrian safety and activities and prizes.

 

The event will include discussions on a variety of traffic safety-related issues, including teens and traffic safety (teens have the highest fatality and injury rates); driver inattention as a major contributing factor in traffic collisions; and road rage.
