Subject:     Nicolo Gagalino Violin Recovered

Today, investigators recovered the missing Nicolo Gagalino violin. The church staff of St. Roberts Church in San Bruno, California was notified by a citizen that the violin was on the steps of their church.   The violin was retrieved by church staff and turned in early this morning to the San Bruno Police Department.  The violin is now in custody of the San Francisco Police Department.

San Francisco Police have determined that the original report of theft, made by Sabina Rhee-Nakajima, was false and the violin was never stolen.  Investigators will complete their investigation early next week and refer the case to the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office.

Early reports that the Golden Gate Towing Company may have been implicated in the theft of the violin have proven to be false.
