San Franisco Police Arrest Suspect In One And A Half Million Dollar Residential Burglary

San Francisco Police arrested a suspect January 12 in a Pacific Heights residential burglary series. Taken into custody was James Reem, 42, of San Francisco. Reem gained access to the residence on September 6, stealing some property. He and accomplices returned on December 24 and December 25, when the owner was out of town, stealing items that included furniture, antiques, paintings, silver and art objects, worth about one and a half million dollars. An intensive investigation, including surveillance, finally led police to the suspect, who remains in custody on numerous burglary charges.

Photos of some of the stolen and recovered property are available from the Burglary Section.
