San Francisco Police Arrest Two Suspects In Robbery Series

San Francisco Police Robbery investigators have arrested two robbery suspects in connection with a series of armed robberies in the Mission, Taraval and Ingleside districts. Taken into custody were Mitchell Burch, 20, and Milo Otha-Mayer, 20, both of San Francisco.

One of the suspects, Burch, has been dubbed the Time Bandit because he would approach a pedestrian and ask, Do you know what time it is? When the victim responded, the suspect would brandish a semi-automatic handgun and demand the victim's property.

The second suspect, Otha-Mayer, was taken into custody when an alert off-duty SFPD sergeant spotted the suspect vehicle, which witnesses had described as the getaway vehicle. A follow-up investigation led to the suspect's identity and arrest.

Burch and Otha-Mayer were booked on multiple counts of robbery and remain in custody.
