Crime Bulletin: 07-036

The Office of the Mayor has authorized a $250,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of Alberto Casillas.

On January 7, 2007, at 0217 hours, Alberto Casillas was shot and killed inside his vehicle while driving in the area of 13th and Folsom Streets. The susepct had confronted the victim earlier in the evening at the Club Caliente. During the confrontation, the suspect(s) brandished a firearm. A short while later, as the victim and his friend were driving away from the area, suspects fired multiple rounds into the driver's side of the victim's vehicle. Casillas was shot and subsequently died at SFGH.
