-           Request of Sergeant Kenneth Esposto to accept a certificate for a hotel stay and $300.00 certificate from the Rotary Club of San Francisco as their San Francisco Police Officer of the Year Award recipient

 

2.         General Public Comment

            (The public is now welcome to address the Commission regarding items that do not appear on tonight’s agenda but that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission.  Speakers shall address their remarks to the Commission as a whole and not to individual Commissioners or Department or OCC personnel.  Under Police Commission Rules of Order, during public comment, neither Police or OCC personnel, nor Commissioners are required to respond to questions presented by the public but, may provide a brief response.  Individual Commissioners and Police and OCC personnel should refrain, however, from entering into any debates or discussion with speakers during public comment.  Please limit your comments to three (3) minutes.)

                        PERSONNEL EXCEPTION:   Assignment of Disciplinary Charges filed in Case No.  JWA

                        C11- 035 to a Commissioner for taking of evidence on a date to be determined by the

                        Commissioner

b.         Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957(b)(1) and San Francisco Administrative Code Section 67.10(b) and Penal Code Section 832.7:

            PERSONNEL EXCEPTION:   Discussion and possible action to issue Police Commission subpoena in the matter of Case No. JWA C10-189 (ACTION ITEM)

 

c.         Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957(b)(1) and San Francisco Administrative Code Section 67.10(b) and Penal Code Section 832.7:

                        PERSONNEL EXCEPTION:  Discussion and possible action to sustain or not

                        sustain disciplinary charges filed in Case No. ALW C10-158, and decision to decide penalty, if  

                        necessary  

           

            d.         Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957 and San Francisco Administrative Code Section 67.10

                        (b) and Penal Code Section 832.7:

            PERSONNEL EXCEPTION:  Discussion and possible action to grant or deny Motion for Dismissal of Disciplinary Charges filed in Case Nos. KMO C08-127 & KMO C08-162 pursuant to Government Code Section 3304(d) (ACTION ITEM)

            The following time limits will apply:

            Arguments by the Officer:  20 minutes

            Arguments by the Department:  10 minutes

10.       Public comment on all matters pertaining to Item 12 below, Closed Session – Public Employee Appointment:  Chief of Police, including public comment on vote whether to hold Item 12 in closed session

  

11.       Vote on whether to hold Item 12 in closed session (ACTION ITEM)

 

12.       Closed Session – PUBLIC EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT:  Chief of Police

            Review and evaluation of applications submitted by candidates for Chief of Police.  This item may be held in closed session under Government Code Section 54957(b) and San Francisco  Administrative Code Section 67.10(b).  (DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION)

13.       Vote to elect whether to disclose any or all discussion on Item 12 held in closed session (San Francisco Administrative Code Section 67.12(a)) (ACTION ITEM)

 

14.       Discussion and possible action to establish further procedures and/or timelines for selecting nominees to submit to the Mayor for Chief of Police, or to take other action related to selecting nominees for Chief of Police (DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION)

 

            Note – this item is included in the event the Commission wishes to discuss and take further action to establish procedures and/or timelines to select nominees to submit to the Mayor for Chief of Police, or to take other action related to selecting nominees for Chief of Police
